- Recycle as much of your waste as possible

- Get a home energy audit. Some municipalities offer this service for free
- Switch to green power if it’s available to you
- Water your plants at night; the plants will capture more of the water (instead of being
evaporated by the sun)
- Install rain barrels

- Shop with reusable canvas bags instead of disposable bags

- Buy recycled paper products
- Buy organic and/or biodegradable products when possible

- Buy locally grown and organic foods
- Avoid heavily packaged products
- Reduce the amount of meat you eat
GO
- Walk, bike, carpool or take public transportation
- Telecommute from home
- Keep your car tuned up and tires inflated
- Choose a fuel efficient car
- Reduce the number of flights you take
