Korman Commercial Properties, Inc.

Objective: Korman Commercial Properties sought to identify opportunities to “green” their existing business center and reduce its operating costs. 
The business center consists of eight buildings occupying roughly 500,000 square feet. 

Solution: To develop a comprehensive strategy that addressed Korman’s financial and sustainability goals, we facilitated a strategy workshop with Korman’s leadership team. During the workshop, we identified nearly 30 zero or low-cost initiatives that are expected to significantly reduce the environmental footprint of the business center while improving the tenant experience through healthy indoor air quality practices. We are now
working with Korman to implement these operations and maintenance changes. Projected project accomplishments include:

Reduction in Energy Costs of 10% (Through Low-Cost Measures)

Elimination of Toxic Cleaning and Building Materials (Including an Integrated Pest Management Plan)

50% Waste Reduction via a Comprehensive Recycling Program

Increased Opportunities for Carpooling and Ridesharing Via a Comprehensive Transportation Management Plan
