Residential Bathroom

Impact Construction worked with the client during the design phase, and then went to work to reconfigure and rebuild the living space. From the beginning, Impact worked carefully to remove and salvage the existing fixtures (including a cast iron tub!) and building materials to the fullest degree possible. After reconfiguring the plumbing and electrical work, Impact created a shower stall using natural slate with recycled sea glass along the walls, and a shower floor made of smooth river rock stone. Impact replaced the existing bathroom door with a sliding door made with recycled natural eco-resin. A concrete trough sink made with 50% recycled material was installed as well, enabling multiple family members to use the sink simultaneously. Lastly, a dual flush toilet was installed for efficiency. The renovation resulted in the transformation of a typical Capitol Hill bathroom into a modern space that references a natural spa!
